Easy to Make EZ See splatter targets

Okay so I saw some vids talking about making your own splatter targets and decided to give it a try.
It is simple idea really,
Take what ever color base you want then using clear tape laminate the paper, then paint the tape a contrasting color
Whalah you now have a splatter target

Paint $5.00 will paint 10 to 15 Paper boards
Paper board can make 6 squirrels $2.00
Tape $3.00
$10.00 with enough left material to do 60 more targets for about $20 more

They've shown us that method at the 4-H instructor classes I've had, but using construction paper as the base. A key thing they've found is the materials have to be as cheap as you can get.
If the paper is too good, it won't "pucker" right when hit.
If the tape is too good, it won't release from the paper like it should when hit.
If the paint is too good, it won't flake off well when hit.
This is one time when buying cheap works in your favor. Dollar store materials work.

Hey those look great.... here is a tip go to lowes or home depot you can get a 5 pound box of the tin roofing caps
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Grip-Rite-5-lb-1-5-8-in-Steel-Roofing-Cap/3605484 there are like 700 in a box they would make great inserts for those pesky critters and can be prepped the same way just spray a neon base then do your overcoat.
cut out your killzone add a little bracketing on the back and walla your cutouts will last ten times longer..... well depending on how good of a shot the shooters are

Willie, I use that foam backer you got from Wal Mart in droves for my paper target backers. Love the stuff. I also use it for putting down into the box bottoms when I ship my metal targets to customers.

Just wanted to let you know you can get them cheaper! At the Dollar Tree, they are $1.00 each for the same size as Wal Marts..... If you have a dollar tree around you.
I buy them 20 at a time.....Yeah I do a lot of shooting...HAHA

Here is some targets I made using those nail caps from Lowes there is about 700 of them in a box it cost about 10.00 per box craft sticks from Wal-Mart a few bucks some double sided tape Some florescent spray paint and you have some 2 inch targets By the time you get through paying for everything you are looking at a few cents per target
and the sticks can be reused and the tape will last a while also
