Eagle Vision Camera Mount "MOD" (Hack).

Hi,

From the moment I started using my Eagle Vision Camera Mount, I got mega annoyed by those stupid set screws. Anyhow, I pretty much right away had to come up with something different. And I did. : ) All I did actually, was to take some "foam tape" (this one came with a washing machine stacking kit) and put the tape on to the end of my scope. BAM. Problem solved!

I can now just slide the "pipe" (the actually mount) on to the scope and there is no need for those screws anymore. The mount sits really secure on the scope. Another plus is that I can take the mount on and off in seconds... : ).

Another thing that bugged me about the Eagle Vision Mount was the "need" to glue, or epoxy, something to my camera?! Of course I had to come up with something different. Something "better". : ) And I did. A solution that allows you to securely mount the adapter ring to your camera without "destroying" your camera...

I just went to Home Depot and got a sample of some floor tile. The sample is made of some sort of PVC, I guess!? I simply to the tile and taped it with 3M double sided tape to the camera and then taped the adapter ring to the tile. If anyone has ever used that kind of tape, they will know that it sticks like hell, but, if I ever need to remove the ring, I can. : )

thanks,

Kmd
