Does anybody use a laser?

"Deja"more or less useless outside in sunshine, that said i only used crappy chinese stuff

Higher quality = better visibility but bright sunlight does make it hard and you have to find a good bright laser and these are not cheap.
I have used lasers on my rifles for two reasons, one is when I am night hunting and it might be so dark that I cannot see my crosshairs,
or like you to set a closer zero point

one key note this is for pesting only, I cannot use a laser for squirrels in Texas for example because they are considered game, in fact I cannot even have a laser mounted if I am hunting squirrels so just be aware of what you are hunting almost all states has restrictions on light emitting devices and game hunting

One of the best uses of the green laser (more visible than red during daylight) that I had mounted on my rifle before was that it made it easy to eliminate parallax. Though not at all difficult, many of us know how tedious it is having to take the time to cancel it out. I know some of you are familiar with the head-dance method of checking for it: you'd have to put the rifle on a solid rest, painstakingly align the crosshairs to the point of aim, then bob your head up and down and weave it from side to side until the crosshairs are steady. With a laser dot, once it's superimposed with the crosshairs, all you do is adjust the parallax knob and move your head while holding your rifle until the crosshairs stay still. It's quick, easy, and effective.
