Day One Airgun News from the SHOT Show

For the first day post on airgun news at the 2016 SHOT Show, we have some overall photographs of the show, together with more detail on a couple of significant announcements from Crosman.

One is that Remington is now out of the airgun business - Crosman will be selling Remington-branded airguns in future. This sounds like a re-run of the previous, short-lived arrangement, whereby Crosman sold Remington airguns a few years ago. It will be interesting to see how this works out going forward...

There's also a "new" low cost PCP air rifle, the Benjamin Maximus. This is basically a synthetic stock version of the long-running Discovery - the big news is that the MSRP is now just $199.99 - a price point the will make it very attractive in encouraging new PCP air rifle shooters.

And yes, there is a new Air Arms PCP. The Galahad is an attractive bullpup gun that's based on the S410/510 platform. I'll be there tomorrow to find more information, but here's a link to the separate story published in Hard Air Magazine earlier today.
