Current Barrel twist rate reality - don't get hung up

In some of the posts above rolling pellets on glass is mentioned as part of a sorting process I believe...can someone explain this to me? I clean, weigh, and sort my pellets in an attempt to achieve the best accuracy possible, but this is the first time I have heard of rolling them on glass.

I am curious if different twist rates could be better at different distances. Say 25m compared to 100m?

I've heard of barrels that could win National contests at short distances, but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at longer distances.
