Cross-Eye dominate shooters

Good morning AGN,

I was just curious how some of you shoot if your cross-eye dominate, when shooting my glock I do the head tilt where my left eye is aligned with my sights. Now that I'm starting to get into Air Rifles (Just bought the Hatsan Bullboss .25) I will be shooting that more frequently, and so far with my right-eye (closing my left eye completely) I've been doing pretty well and outside of shooting left handed wanted to know if any cross-eye dominate folks had any other tips. Also I have 20/15 vision so I dont have a problem with clarity just visual acuity.

G'day Ted,

I shoot right-handed, but am left eye dominant. I sight with my right eye. After some practice I am comfortable shooting with both eyes open - it took some concentrated practice. Shooting with both eyes open has led to better and more consistent accuracy, but not without some frustration and 'cussing' out on the back porch at first. I am sort-sighted and wear bifocal glasses. I still shoot better with dioptre sights than scopes. I have found that getting a consistent head position and cheek-weld is critical.

I originally started with both eyes open as its natural for me but was struggling with concentration - I'll have to practice it more, never tried dioptre sights I may have to look into that more.
