Casio ex zr 1300

Hey guys . I have just received my new casio zr1300 very happy I also bought the orion mount as ted recommended. Now I have tried to set it up . But I would like some advice . The angle on the camera is not entirely straight is there a certain position on my scope is best to mount to get best stability? Also if someone could tell me how to access the slow motion feature (what I need to do to use it) would be great . So I'm basically asking for simple advice on how to get the best picture ie where to mount it . Also how to access slow motion . Hope someone can help as it saves me hours looking through Google search .

Thanks guys

Chris

To use the slow motion option you need to change your video setting to HS-240 or HS 30-240. That will then record all video in 240 frames per second, which is the best setting for what we are doing. The HS 30-240 option will allow you to quickly switch between 30fps and 240fps by using the command wheel while recording. That is the option I use. You should be able to change these setting by accessing the Menu and selecting video.

I use an Eagle Vision mount so I have no useful info on the Orion.

Good Luck

You can purchase is at Airguns of Arizona or straight from Eagle Vision. There are videos where Ted is using the Eagle Vision mount or something very similar, in fact that is how I found out about it.

And here is a good post on how to set it up, and what it will look like

Also Matt Dubber has a good video on both mounts

Yes mate I can get a eagle mount easy as I'm in the UK. What should my wheel be on when taking videos ? I'm aiming at the floor and holding shutter to get my Crosshair focused . But then when I aim at the target the Crosshair is losing its focus .. any idea ? I have it set on M at the moment but should I be using " Art,bs,Sr, to, m, s, a,p" there are a lot of options on the top of camera . Which one should I be using ? Again any help is massively apperachited.

I use P (Program) mode. You need to make sure Continuous Focus is shut off in the Menu System. Then once you get your camera focused on the sights, you just use your Scope Focus ring to bring your target into focus. Also you should be using somewhere around 4x or 5x zoom. on the camera. Also there is a Memory Setting in the menu, which will remember your focus point and zoom level. It is very handy. When you turn your camera back on the camera should automatically zoom and focus to the last point it was used at. Saves a ton of time.
