California Turkey Hunting Question: Suppressors or LDC's Legal?

I want to take a trip to Cali to try my luck air gunning turkeys but I have a question.

I wrote this letter to the Airgun Hunter but I don't think he got it; Youtube is funny sending privet messages.
My question references his newest video found here:

I want to turkey hunt with my air rifle, am I aloud to keep the suppressor on it?..
The only information I found on "silencers" in the CA hunting regulations booklet was on page 84 listed under "Firearm" restrictions, this "Firearm Restriction" in my interpretation would not apply to an airgun and there for a suppressor would be legal, but I noticed in your latest video (the double) you used a Marauder which did not have an additional suppressor on it from what I can tell. Which is why I'm asking you, maybe you know something I don't on the subject.
Thank You

I pasted the info I found on firearm silencers below

FIREARMS

"Calbarry"The info you posted pertains to firearms. Airguns are not classified as firearms in Ca. To answer your question, yes they are legal. Better hurry, the spring turkey season ends April 30.
Michigan declassified airguns as firearms in 2015 but you still couldn't use a silencer for hunting air gun or firearm tell 2016 when they changed the hunting regulations regarding the use of silencers. I would be careful. http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/alert-for-michigan-airgun-hunters/

I'v been out getting footage but when I saw the film with no silencer I just wanted to make sure I was 100% legal and not posting a video of my self un intentionally breaking any laws or regulations.
The most success I'v had so far is yesterday when I almost hit a tom with my car... Im so glad I have really good brakes, I missed hitting him by about 2". I can't believe he would run out that close to my car... I will admit I was looking out the driver side for turkeys in a field and he came from the passenger side.
If I see a medium sized tom that looks like he is a bit on the "slow" side even if he is next to a trophy Tom... Bye bye J walker...

Yep. I've spent a lot of time trying to understand CA's complex hunting/firearms laws, and to the best of my knowledge, suppressors and LDC's are legal on airguns in CA.

A big problem here in CA, however, is that the laws are very complex and many LEOs are not familiar with all of them. I have LEO friends that admit they get confused all the time and are not sure what laws apply in any given situation.

For that reason, I carry a DWF document that specifically states that airguns are not classified as firearms in CA when I'm hunting. I'll post the link if I can find it, but you may have luck just using a Google search. The document pertains to the requirement for hunters here to use non-lead ammo.

Enjoy the hunt.
