Nice benches Salt, going to make one this weekend, yup just like yours. Been some talk about resting elbows. I think... (got me wondering now) I always rest my trigger elbow (right handed).. is that not proper? I also rest my left forearm on the left edge of my bench and lightly rest my left hand over the stock just in front of my cheek. On my plywood topped bench, it's flimsy enough though that it will give on that left edge of the bench so repositioning every time is the norm right now. What have you found to be the best elbow arms postioning? Thanks again for your detailed post. attaboy inbound.

Very nice range Salt. Love the trees and the sense of being in the woods. Oh, great understanding women you have there too. Mine not as much....
I did get two built just like yours. My second pour turned out better and I just used the 8X8X8 blocks on it. Never realized how nice a solid bench could be. Thanks again for sharing with us.
