Brocock Bantam airgun review - Shoot Travel-HUNT by AEAC

Bantam eye candy

I was just doing some research on the Bantam in .25 and it seems to be a drastically different gun than the .177 or .22 calibers. The .22 has 71 good shots at 30fpe with an extremely flat shot curve long "sweet spot" in the shot curve. It appears to me that a 200 bar fill will have two or three magazines of "regulated-like" shot spread for long distances. I notice that the .25 had 40fpe but LACKS the sling-shot hammer, therefore is much less efficient. When I finally found the shot count on the .25 (On the Brocock's website) it said the shot count was ONLY a whopping 28! WHAT?

I expected it to be around 40-50. I know a .22 with 30fpe with is more efficient than a .25 with 40fpe, but not by that much. It must be the NON-slingshot hammer in the .25. With only 28 shots there is NOT a sweet spot worth buying the gun, but there is one in the .22. I already have several regulated .22's with about 30 regulated shots. I wanted a heavier more wind-resistant .25 for either a huge short range shot count or/and a "good" sweet spot (at least two mags of super consistent shots) for long distance range and power. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for Brocock to find a heavier and more efficient sling-shot hammer before I buy my first English pcp. Please Brocock, I want your product but I need the sling-shot hammer. Airgunners, reply if you agree.

"Birdo"Yep, it’s a winner, mines a 177 and shoots all day long. Only gripe is I bought before the price cut.

Speculating the platform doesn't have enough barrel length for power and efficiency in 25 cal.
Yea, I think your right about the .25. I wonder if the would be a way to regulated those 28 shots with some sort of aftermarket regulator?

Wow, that was a lot of work that went into that video. Travel, shooting editing... I only feel sad that poor Michael got stuck with the big clunky Pulsar. :-D

Thayne really has the dove cleaning down pat, doesn't he?!

Nice shooting from both of you.

Steve, do you have anything close to a feedlot down in FL? Maybe squirrels on an orange orchard or something?
I've got a .177 Compatto, and I just love it, for the same reasons you cited here for the Bantam. They're not great-looking guns, but boy do they ever feel right for offhand shooting.
