Bring Out The Lights - Shooting as the days grow shorter and darker

"30cal"LOL! Yes you are addicted! I must admit that I have done that also. You know what works good also, is if you put a spot light next to your shooting position shining on the target. It will illuminate the back of the pellets and you will be able to watch them in flight. They light up quite nicely.
Yeah, the light from behind does make a pretty good show. I've always just parked my jeep with the brights on, sat down in front of it, and shot.

LOL! Coffee better be decaf!
Granted if that tin of pellets is almost gone...

Some years ago I bought some Luminous (Glow) paint at a hobby shop and painted the inside of the skirts of some pellets...It was very fun to see the luminous green dot heading for your target and hitting it...

Those were my "Poor Man's Tracers"...

"iride"LED lights by the target work great, cheap and batteries last a long time.

I looked into making small, rechargable LED lighted target holders a year or two ago, but never really finished anything. The LED's I bought were really bright, and cheap. http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/ls-123cw/12-volt-cool-white-led-module-strip/1.html

I used a 12v atv headlamp I had laying around, and rigged it to a R/C receiver+servo. I could leave the light out by my targets, and turn it on/off with the tramsmitter. Was kinda cool for when I felt like shooting a few shots at night/morning.
