Bought a Benjamin Trail NP XL725

Nice looking rifle, does it suffer from barrel droop as the photos give that indication.

Very well done post that I appreciate as I'm considering a .25 spring gun. A few comments. Take them with a grain of salt. If you're going to try those Hornets, might as well try JSB Kings. Yes, they'll have a slower speed, maybe more drop; but the BC you listed as 1.000 may improve with JSB Kings. All I can say is at long distances, my JSB's ALWAYS hit way higher than any other same weight / different brand pellet.
I have a chance to buy a tuned .25 Gamo Hunter Extreme Socom from a trusted fellow I talked with years ago. It's spitting the 19 or 20 grain pellets at 800 average. If it can even spit Kings at 750fps I'd be happy. I'd have to feel shot cycle with different weights, check accuracy, etc. I personally would use a .25 spring gun for 30 yards, MAYBE 50 maximum.
He also has an English tuned Patriot in .25. It has a front blade sight, area for rear sights, not sure if he has them yet or not as in picture it's scoped and has a gas ram. The Gamo is buttoned and a spring.
I've looked at the Benjamim 725's and am considering it. I'm not sure on prices of the 3 in question here. Anyway, I'll review your video and info and consider more. Also I think your spread will shrink once it breaks in. I'd slug that barrel and feel for tight spots. I had several Benjamin XL gas rams in .177 and .22 and I have to say I wasn't happy. That was a long time ago.

how is the accuracy ?
last April my brother and I both purchased this rifle. Previous experience was with my early NP Crosman .22 and a NP2 version also in .22. Both of these rifles shoot awfully good .
After 11 different pellet types in these .25 rifles we have been left terribly disappointed in both the accuracy and consistency of these rifles. I wish Benjamin would take them back and refund our money.It has been very frustrating. 
I have spoke with their tech people a few times and the make sure the screws are tight, is the scope good ? and try different pellets and just shoot more suggestions we are about done. 
FWIW swapped scopes 5-6 times with known quality ones from my centerfires and other pellet rifles.

We however love the feel of the rifles and the damn hard hitting .25 pellet. However the shifting point of aim and poor groups have us reaching for the >22 versions.
Any suggestions on help with accuracy ???

Your not controlling the harmonics of this rifle consistently during the shot (recoil) it’s jumping around on you (even off a rest), that’s why you are suffering from poor accuracy. With enough practice and consistent control (hold and trigger) you should be able to stack pellets at 30 yards easily. 

Well how should it be held ? Honest question here not being a smart ass. We have tried many different holds and rests ands shot a few thousand pellets of many different pellet types. 
Stacking at 30 yards ??? Be happy to hit a pop can at 30 yards with these with consistency. 
I used to be a competitive long range rifle shooter and benchrest competitor after scoring expert many times in the Corps so have a rudimentary education of consistent hold and trigger control. 

Does everyone who has this rifle stack them at 30 yards ?? did we just get por examples here??

My brother and I set up a range in the house, I tell you from experience the penetration is more than the 22 version !! there is a nice 5 shot group in the metal front door skin now !! hahaha

how is the accuracy ??

I have this gun in 22 cal. I put in a new trigger which made it shoot a bit better but it is not a tack driver by any means. It is very heavy and hard to shoot offhand. If you bench rest it mine only shoots well if i rest it on my hand. I dont shoot it much anymore because it is frustrating. But it is powerful and accurate enough for hunting 25 yards.
