Bipod mount needed that do not require drilling through stock

I have some questions for people who own the bar clamp bipods:

Please can someone tell me if they leave a mark on the air tube and scratch the anodizing?

Have you done any testing to see if resting on the air tube shifts the poi or reduces accuracy in any way?

Part of me likes the idea of being able to use a bipod without drilling into the stock but the other part is a little unsure if it is safe to put that kind of pressure on the end of the air tube or bottle. Anyone who has ever snapped what seemed like strong and sturdy metal will know that these things have a weakness around the neck.

I snapped a steel fill probe a while ago when I made the mistake of trying to fill the gun without a flexible hose. With the leverage of the tank and 3000psi of air pressure, the probe snapped like a twig with the slightest of knocks. I have this vision in my head of this type of bipod stressing the threaded area where the tube connects to the breach until, one day, it snaps off turning your air cylinder into a mini missile, and I'd be starting a thread telling everyone how grateful I was that it only went through the neighbors window etc.

I think that if there was no poi shift, I would have more confidence that air gun air tubes are strong enough for this type of design.

It is worth adding that not all air guns are created equal in this respect. The Cricket and Mutant, with their solid metal barrel clamps, are less vulnerable to poi shifts from this type of movement whereas I can shift the poi fairly easily on an AT44 by squeezing the air tube and barrel together.
