Bipod Extender

i just got a Crown, the one thing I don’t like is the bipod location. After you mount a Picatinny rail on the front part of the stock is very noticeable that the bipod is going to be in the center of the rifle. I know from shooting my other rifles it’s eaisier to stay on target when the balance point it as far forward as possible. What I’m thinking of doing is taking a leg off a tripod that is 2 sections long 15-24 inches and on one end attaching a bipod Picatinny mount and on the other end a Picatinny rail. The tripod leg will run parallel to the barrel connected to the stock on one end allowing the bipod to be at an adjustable distance in front. I would also attach a hard rubber bumper on it to keep it from touching the air tank. This set up would allow me to move the bipod up to 6inches past the end of the barrel. Hopefully my description can be visualized by you as I can’t draw a damm thing. I’m just wondering if anyone has a easier or better way to install a bipod than what I may be trying. I know there is a company that makes a bipod extension but I can’t see spending $500 for it https://bipodext.com/

Wow. I wouldn't spend $500 on that either!
You might consider something like this. Just make sure it will fit on the CF bottles. It should. They're thicker than the old metal ones but, not by much. That'll get you out a little further. The downside is that it will also put a little extra strain on your bottle fitting so, you'll have to use it gently.
