Best pellet for me

Hello everyone. A few years ago I got a gamo recon for my birthday. Me and my friend now take it to a quarry near my house and plink some beer cans once in awhile. I have some old wadcutter pellets and noticed at a decent range me and my friend had a very hard time hitting the targets. Now I know we arnt some sharpshooters but I noticed if when we moved 2 meters up we would hit every shot we made. I'm assuming this is because the wad cutter due to its shape is slowing down right before the target causing it to drop. I was wondering what is more accurate round nose or pointed pellets?

Try some diablo or round nose type pellets of standard weight like 14 gr. in 22. Most have good luck with JSB Kings. You could try some crosman round nose from Wally World. Also, your post is about ammo. Here there is a thread specific to ammo check there for others with similar questions. A little more info on your gun would be helpful. Cal. spring piston or gas? CO2? The more info you provide the better responses you will get. You might try a sample pack. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product//B00840H2CM/ref=twister_dp_update?ie=UTF8&psc=1

"Dolphi123"It is a .177 I assume spring piston(its a break barrel cocking mechanism). I live in Canada so I have limited choices when it comes to ammo. I have been using 8.6 grs wadcutter pellets.

Check my link to Amazon. Check local gun stores. Check with sporting goods stores. I have a 25 cal gun and have to mail order my ammo. Its really not that difficult.
