best customer service? what companey

Most of them have no customer service at all because they don't deal directly with customers. It's all done through distributors and retailers. You buy from a retailer. If there is an issue, you send it back to the retailer. If you need parts - through the retailer.

There are only a few who deal direct. They are typically the smaller local manufacturers (i.e. US based).

As for what constitutes "best customer service", that depends on your point of view. For some people, the fact that you can call RAW! speak to the guy who will make your air gun and get it made to order is great customer service. Someone else might hear that there is a 3 month waiting list because they don't want to take the financial risk of stocking finished air guns and feel differently about it.

Then there are people like me who are just greatful if they receive what they ordered and it works or isn't damaged.

I also appreciate being able to order online (I don't ever want to speak to anyone on the phone about it), I want whatever I order to arrive quickly (I find zero benefit in "made to order") and if there is an issue, I like it to be taken care of as quickly and painlessly as possible without any nonsense. Oh, and I hate any type of waiting list for any reason. I consider that to be an abomination in customer service. I particularly dislike being told that a long wait is because it's "custom" when I am choosing one of two of three guns from their catalog. Choosing to have the HST set to 30fpe instead of 35fpe or choosing stock A instead of B is not "custom".

So back to the original question. Who has the best customer service. I don't know....Probably none of them. I might have said RAW if they didn't make guns to order due to their online parts ordering thing (which everyone should do) but they do so it doesn't do it for me.

what do you consider to be good customer service?

I have dealt only with Pyramid Air, Straight Shooters, and Airguns of Arizona in terms of purchases. I have no complaints with any of these. AoA has been terrific since I first bought from them about 13 months ago. I'm very new to this and I do like to talk to someone on the phone. I like that this forum has informed many of my questions and answered others.

I've talked to Martin on a couple of occasions as I tried to decided RAW or not. So far, not - length and weight are the things that have kept me from RAW but I'm probably not being fair because my Air Wolf is probably fairly close to what the specs would be on a RAW if I ordered.

I'm used to waiting for builds. I've waited almost two years for custom recurve bows to be built (on many occasions) that are about the same price as RAW and Daystates.

I'll be surprised if a RAW isn't in my future.

raw offers air guns that are custom. left or right handed sidelever or bolt. custom stock options barrel options. magazine options
metl coulor options. barrel thimbles and the man who builds them will talk to you on the phone before and after service.
ive owned all the top names brands except fx and out of all of them non of them will give you what raw gives you.
a completely tuned gun to the pellets you choose and you will be guaranteed to get a shooter when you pull it out of the box.
and raw will fix your gun even when it runs out of warrenty. martin knows his guns and knows how to treat his customers.

Rapid Air Weapons in the US ( likely everywhere they are sold ). Martin and Sandra are just top notch and have old world pride in work, airguns or other. I've met them both as well as Dottie & Son, all great folks. I had two made a .22 and a .30. Any question anytime is just fine ( and he does listen to people ).
Don't fall for the myth that RAW's are not "stocked" anywhere, Jin & Nancy are very people I've met & dealt with JJim try's to keep some thing. The RAW dealer in AZ seems to have a great inventory - not to mention knowledge , the go to guy for RAW BR, met him , fired his .357 & got all kinds of information and invites to shoot more, anytime.

I would mention Crosman but that doesn't fit the OT.

Having the owner assemble every rifle does seem to aid in QC a great deal and if you every need anything they do answer the phones.

Foreign ( to the US anyway) manufacturers using U.S Importers and or dealers would naturally have a harder time with parts ..... though just 15 or so years ago airgun dealer kept parts available for years & years and they were always easy to get from whomever you purchased from. Until about '05 I thought all airguns came shipped inside boxed a plastic case,

Now, if you might be in the UK and can walk to your local STOCKING - co0mpaired to Ace hardware here- things might be slightly different?

My vote would be for AOA. They have gone out of their way to help me in my first pcp purchase. I called several times and asked many questions over a two week period and they were always helpful and professional in their response to my questions. I would always choose them over other companies, when buying air guns or accessories for air guns. They were great. They test every gun they sell, before it is shipped. My Regal XL was in perfect condition when I received.
