Benjamin Regal II

I picked up a Regal II in .22 at my local Big 5 for 129$
A week after it went up to $229 so I feel I got a good deal.
I use it mostly for squirrel and backyard plinking at targets, it came with a 4x32 CP scope and I want to upgrade to a mil dot or P4 style optic that is inexpensive and able to withstand the nitro piston recoil.

If anyone could lend some advice for a AO inexpensive scope for the nitro piston abuse it would be greatly appreciated. My pellets of choice are JSB exact 18 grain and crosman premier HP.

Get a leapers scope......fairly inexpensive and hard to beat for the price. The 30mm tubes are best for springers. Theyre one piece mount for like 16 bucks is solid too. Has an arrester pin and all. The mount is very important too.

Hammers makes a decent 3x9 scope for $60 that works great for hard hitting springers, I liked the fist one so well I bought 2 more.

I found this thread and wanted to say I bought one last week for $125. It is supposed to be 23 ft-lb so when I ran it over my chronograph I was expecting low to mid 800 fps... I was getting just over 700 fps (~15 ft-lb). It felt a little "gritty" when I cocked it so I think the piston tube may be dry, doesn't matter as I'm taking it back and exchanging it for another one. If the new one is the same I may keep it and mess around with it (I have the original one and it is my go to gun).
