Hey guys I have just started my own channel for my own personal liking and I had some questions on editing software.

    1. What program is free is dirt cheap to start with? Like I said I don’t plan on becoming the next Steve, or Ted channel but I take pride in my work and I want it to look professional.
    2.  What is the best entry level equipment? I currently use my phone and a extremely old camcorder that was found in father in laws basement as I didn’t know if I would enjoy the editing process but have since then realized I do and would like to up the quality.
    3. What are some suggestions from others who make videos? Tips & Tricks possibly? Like I stated above, I do this for myself and people I know to be able to enjoy if anything more ever came from it, great. I do not plan to spend a fortune just want some tips and ideas on what equipment would be best in the LOW end of the spectrum.

I use Adobe Premier Pro now, but I used to use Adobe Premier Elements and it should do most anything you want. Not very hard to use and there are plenty on Youtube video tutorials available.

I would just watch a bunch of videos on YouTube. Most people will mention what equipment they use. That way, if you like their footage, you know that yours will look the same. Not from an artistic perceptive, but from a technical one. If they are shooting videos with an iPhone, using an Eagle Vision Mount, Editing it with Adobe Premiere, you know that if you use the same equipment, your footage will be the same.

I have had Adobe Premiere Pro available to me for years.  Because I recently had the need to burn DVDs (remember them???) and could not get Adobe’s old Encore working correctly, I got Premiere Elements 2018 which can be used to burn DVDs.  Well, let me tell you…  Elements has FAR exceeded my expectations.   :-)   I’m working on a PC by the way.  I think it’s typically $100 or less from the usual retailers.

And I prefer Corel Video Studio. Making videos in this software since 2002, when it was under another brand and name. Simple and good working.

Hey, it’s worth noting that most of these video editing tools have trial downloads.
