Barrel to "pellet" wear-in is true

I just started smashing Grizzlys and actually just wanted to see how they fare.

First I shot around 8 shots to other target, then started with the paper.

Here is my paper, once I noticed the shots lowering I zeroed and started aiming at round targets.

See how group size falls? Also the outer one on the 4th was a pull.

I am curious to know Pellet to "Barrel" Wear Out such as shooting the round balls which are not recommended in air gun rifled barrels and the GREEN lead free hard alloy pellets. I only wonder if
they will eventually ruin the rifling in accurate airgun barrels, only time will tell.

Round balls are not recommended because they are a poor fit with practically no bearing surface on the rifling. That means they are going to be hard on a springer. Both lead and the alloy pellets are softer than barrel steel so they are not going to cause any appreciable wear, especially at airgun velocities.
