Bald Eagle rest

i just ordered a Bald Eagle aluminum triangle rests online. I could use some help picking out a rear rest from you all. I don’t have the Bald Eagle in front of me so I can’t figure out how much height I will need. I will be using it for a FWB300 as well as a Air Arms s400 MPR if that helps.
thanks ,

Mitch,

I have the Bald Eagle rest too, and I use a Protector "rabbit ear" rear bag elevated by two cement bricks placed side by side on the bench. I lower the BE rest to it's lowest setting. But you'll have to do whatever works for your particular gun and range setup. My range slopes a bit downhill (3 feet in 25 yards), so I have to elevate the rear of my rifle more than most. You probably won't know for sure until you get your rear bag and try it out.

"jps2486"Whatever bag you buy, get it pre-filled. These things are truly a pain to fill and get it done right. The extra shipping cost is worth it. I recommend the Protector Rabbit Ear bag with the carrying handle.
Absolutely right about filling the bag. If you want to do it yourself get a filling funnel it makes it easier. One big tip dry the sand in a oven as moist sand will clog the funnel. I think I got mine at Brownells along with the heavy sand which weighs double what beach sand weighs.

Converted mine-pretty easy to do. It took a few minute to realize that the sliding plate needed to be flipped over to put the gun stop on the correct side (after I swapped the end plates and springs). Once done though, it was pretty simple. Just need a 4mm Allen wrench and you’re all set.

Now I just need to find the carburetor studs to remount the handle to control windage adjustments.
