Baffles for the FWB 600's?

I have seen one post, from Tony here in 2011 of baffles that can be inserted in the hollow space in front of the barrel on the FBW 600 rifles:

And I have seen a video on youtube from somebody that used to make these baffles for these FWB rifles:

part 2https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE_YsOENNvY

So it is either 4x baffles (videos) or 5x baffles (on the photo from Tony). I do have a hobby machine shop and making these on my own is relatively easy, but I can't seem to find any more detailed information on these.

So far I have that:
- the ID of the empty space is about 9 inches long
- the average ID of the empty space is about .595" to .596"

I can of course measure my own FWB 602 to verify these, but does anyone has further knowledge on these?

I tapped the end of my FWB 601 tube with a 5/8-18 tap, which produces very shallow threads in that I.D. tube, but is more than adequate for an end-cap.

Can't imagine extra baffles being any quieter in that airgun. It is my quietest airgun by far bar-none. VERY VERY quiet !!!!!!!!!

Make sure you use an "H1" class tap if you can find it. Most are H3 to H5 which represents increments of .0005" inches over standard thread size (example "H5" is approximately .0025" over standard.
The reason for this is any of them will cut extremely close to the corners of the dovetail grooves on the bloop tube, and the H1 will give you the most room.

It is also important to go very slowly and use a square to ensure your tap is not running at an angle. Buy a good sharp tap, and a small "L" square and DIY.

Hope this helps.

I recently bought an FWB 601 from "Carel" on American Airguns Classifieds. He's located in the Netherlands and I had no problems receiving the gun in Ohio. It came with a baffle in the "bloop tube" on the barrel end and with it the gun is almost silent. I just emailed him about it and here's what he replied:

"The part I designed myself and have them made locally. They are just small baffle insert that goes into the empty bloop tube on the front. I sell them for $25 shipped. I will put them on the classifieds in bit."

By the way, I love the gun, really wonderful quality and accuracy. They're hard to put a scope on but at 10 meters they can be shot extremely accurately with the peep sights. The gun's not made for long distance shooting or hunting so I've pretty much decided to keep the peeps and use other guns for those purposes.

PM me if you want Carel's email
