Anyone modify their primos gen 2 sticks length?

"crittahitta"Can you just tie a piece of string or paracord to each leg to make the correct width? This way when you open them they will stop at your preferred distance. I looked on amazon to see yours and some others popped up with my idea.
You can but they would still be kind of high. The collapsed height from floor to bottom of the vee yolk is 40 or 42 inches...fully extended from floor to bottom of the vee yolk is 65 inches.

I love my Gen2 tall bipod. I have had rotator cuff surgery’s on both shoulders twice. My 12+ pound scoped Marauder kills me to shoot offhand. But the pod takes care of the weight. They do make a shorter version. But I like mine for stalking. You can sit with it, but it’s a pain to get it low enough if you are sitting on the ground. The legs tend to slide out with the weight of the rifle on it. I did try using a piece of rope to keep the legs from spreading too far. But it kept getting hung up in the brush. I use the pod for holding my binoculars up as well. Works great for searching out tree rats.

I bought the monopod Trigger Stick. It extends from 31" to 65". Better height at the low end for sitting position. I had to modify my walker to hunt with. I need it to walk longer distances. My newer air rifles are 8.9 to some 12.5 pounds! So they get slings and the Trigger Stick. Here's some pics to illustrate my point.

When sitting on a milk crate shooting hft the legs I have to spread to get the yolk down to my height but the amount of distance between the legs so that you'll comes down to the preferred height is too wide maybe I should just try to tie them somehow. I would think that they would keep on Slippin upward meaning the string that's time then when you try to splay the legs out
