I'm right handed & left eye dominant. I think people make too much of this. Good shooting is about confidence and "knowing" you're going to hit what you aim at. Once you start concentrating on the problem too much, your confidence suffers in my opinion.
I shoot right handed with a normal gun, scope, mounts etc for rifle shooting - keeping my left eye closed when I pull the trigger.
I shoot pistols with both eyes open, but narrow the left eye a bit.
Shotguns (I've won competitions is the dim and dark past!), I use the right shoulder and keep both eyes open - lots of practice though - something like 250 shots per week back in those days seemed to overcome the dodgy eye and it just became an instinct.
I've tried patches, shooting left handed, stickers on glasses, then just one day I thought "the he** with it" and my shooting seemed to improve.
Good luck with whatever works for you, but try not to worry too much. Just enjoy shooting!
