An idea for realistic "hunting" target competition

Willie,

In England, they have Hunter Field Target similar to Field Target but equipment restrictions. The rules are very similar to 3D archery. Maximum unknown distance is 45 yards. 10x maximum power scope. No side wheels nor adjustable objectives. No scope adjustments. No range finding. Eyeball the distance (or use mil-dot reticle for bracketing the kill zone size for the distance) and shoot. One shot in one minute. Many field expedient positions are used from prone under a fence, tree stump, side of a tree, on a branch, even opposite shoulder. Some of the positions forces you to contort your body or put yourself in uncomfortable positions.

No butt hooks. No adjustable extra high knee risers. No high scope mounts. No extras that you see on field target shooters rig.

"Willie14228"I have actually approached our local archery club with the idea of integrating airgun into the club making it a dual club and sharing resources.
I got some raised eyebrows and mild interest so we will have to see what will come out of it.

Leo that does sound like fun and yes it is what I am talking about thanks
Any chance you're close to Central IL??
