That was pretty good Joe I can agree with a lot of those scopes, I have Vortex and Nikons buts that's because of all my PB,S I do have Vortex Viper I'm putting on my HMx when it gets here and a 220.00 basic Hawke I'm putting on my BT65SB..and ya I have a few of those UTG/Leapers too on my other airguns but they seem to be doing fine for 130 each.
Anyway I liked you thoughts on the scopes you mentioned, pretty much right on.

The 4-12 goes down to 25 yards ( my last 2 would focus to 20 ) They are the same scope as the VX2 4-12 AO , they just have a different dress on .
Thanks to all you guys for the kind words . I HONESTLY didn't want to come off as a jerk , or a know it all ...That's why I didn't mention MTC and a couple other scopes .. if I haven't owned them , I didn't want to just be shooting my mouth off .
I didn't mention any 1K and up scopes because when you pass the 1000$ mark you pretty much are guaranteed a good scope .

Thanks Joe, as always informative and entertaining. I've owned a few of the scopes mentioned and agree with you opinions of them. I have a Konus Pro that I bought for my Savage 22 and didn't like it. When I bought my Diana 48 the Konus was on the shelf so after trying my spare Leupold (wouldn't focus close enough) I installed it. It lasted less than two weeks, junk scopes IMO.

I've had a Mueller on my Savage 22 for probably 10 years and it's been a good scope, it's clear and tracks well. After my Konus fail I bought a Mueller 8-32 X 44 with a mil dot reticle, so far it's been flawless too.

I don't know about the newer Redfields but the old ones were great scopes. In August 1977 I was 16, having been saving my money I bought a new Winchester model 70 in 30-06. A month later I bought a Redfield Widefield MS 3-9, it's never let me down and is still on the rifle. The rifle cost $217 and the scope was $156, a lot of money in 1977 to a 16yo farm boy.

Joe, really like the videos... great job, man!

You covered a lot of manufactures several of which I have used. The videos are perfect for those looking to buy and points them in the right direction. The next step for viewers is to hone in on the type, size, and features that fit their shooting situation.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and wit!
