Action Camera and Mounts for Mounting on Scope

Hi,

There are several Action Cameras on the market, similar to this one, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014W5R85S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_5&smid=A29C8GS9YNFNGW and I was wondering if any of you have used one to record your hunts. Just wondering if one of these Action Cameras could be mounted in some way (how) on top of your scope to record your hunt. The one shown in the link lacks a zoom feature, but zoom is available on other models/makes of Action Cameras.

If you have any experience with Action Cameras used to record a hunt . . . I'd appreciate your opinion.

Action cameras are equipped with very-wide-angle lenses. Their purpose is to capture a wide field of view so the subject can be seen clearly from less than a few feet away. Furthermore, these cameras have no mechanical zoom. These features spells failure for hunting purposes (unless you are hunting with a knife) because the wild angle makes your subject (target) look so far away. I have seen 25m shots on deer with a gopro, and it looks like the deer is 100 yards away.

Hunting videos require a camera with zoom and focus.
