PCPMart/ ACEEAGLE compressor - DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I am reviewing the ACEEAGLE Compressor. I purchased this compressor under the ACEEAGLE name, but it is exactly the same unit.as others like the ACEEAGLE, 220vac, rated to 380 bar, but recommended no more than 300 to 320 bar, everything the same for this style compressor, similar to the Yong Heng, but not exactly the same configuration (gold top cylinder, with blow out valve on the top of the cylinder). The unit and water pump were attached to 220vac in my home (the Clothes Dryer connection in my garage). I added the correct 5w-40 oil, checked all connections, and attached to my 1.5L carbon fiber bottle (Benjamin).
The unit ran as expected initially, until it got to approx. 4200 psi (290bar). At that time, the motor stopped and the breaker tripped on the unit (black push button). I vented off the line, turned off the compressor, and waited for an hour before attempting anything. At that time, I reset the breaker and turned the unit back on. All I got was a loud hum from the unit, and sporadic noises like it wanted to run, but couldn't. It gave the classic signs of a failed (seized) compressor. So that's it, over $325, and now I have a large paperweight. I am dealing with the seller from eBay (pcpmart.com), but so far no luck on customer service.
Stay away from this compressor, and also from PCP-Mart.com. They have refused to deal with this issue, in fact, they told me that I didn't have it connected to the proper voltage (220VAC and 10 amps), and that's after I sent them a video with sound showing how it reacted as described above when energized. Fact is, my dryer connection is 220vac and 30 amps. The eBay seller goes by "tatcummin0" and also "heaphub". The unit is also known as New Version 220V High Pressure 38Mpa Electric PCP Compressor Pump. Their latest resolution (TODAY) is to offer me $100 as compensation vice having me return the unit. Yep, $100 for a broken unacceptable $325 compressor!
My recommendation is to stick with the Yong Heng 110vac compressors, since they have good reviews and appear to be reliable.

Yes, I saw that. I didn't realize they were related until I had this problem and did more research. I have to say, I am making progress, I filed a return claim with eBay, and now the seller is much higher than $100. I paid a total of $325, and I have them at a credit of $250. I could return it and get the $325 back, but I'd have to pay return freight to China, which would eat up the $75 difference. They did offer a credit of over $250 on either a Yong Heng compressor or one of the larger two cylinder compressors. More to follow.

Hi Centercut.
A week ago I ordered a high-side oil-air separator from heaphub. Two days later I got an email from eBay informing me that there was something dodgy about that seller and they had been removed and I should inform my payment method company to cancel the deal. A day later the site was back under the name of tatcummin. I sent them an email to find out what was going on. They replied back and said that the site had been hacked and they had reverted to their original name and my package had been sent to the courier and they would send my tracking no. in the next 2-3 days. The next day I get another email from eBay saying the seller was no longer registered with them but if I had already paid for my goods, not to worry and the deal should go through. I still have no verification that the item has been sent and I have notified PayPal. Has anybody else had dealings with these cretins?

We have agreed to settle. They wanted to give a "credit" of $250 towards another compressor on their PCPMart web site, the $730 two cylinder model. While that seems good, I declined since I'd be out another $480. We went back and forth and finally agreed to a cash refund of $175. I have not received the refund yet, but I expect to since we did it on an eBay dispute. One reason I accepted is that it would cost approx. $150 to ship it back to China, so even if I got the full refund I'd still get approx. the same amount in my pocket. I did see a member on AGN posted the Yong Heng 120vac compressor from Walmart for $193, with free shipping, so I'll only be spending an additional $18 and get a compressor that should be OK for topping off air HP air bottles. I guess we'll see. If this doesn't work out its time to buy one from Joe B...
Let me repeat, DO NOT do business with PCPMart.com, you'll only be disappointed...

Thanks for the information. That is exactly the compressor that I was thinking about getting.
When I contacted them several weeks ago, through EBAY about the 220 volt motor. I was told to purchase a step-up transformer that would take the 110 volts of my house and convert it to 220 volts for the compressor. They even sent me a link to the type of step-up transformer I would need since they didn't have one for sale on their website. Cost of transformer $50
So I made an offer that was $50 less than the compressor price to offset the the cost of the transformer. Couldn't come to an agreeable price.
I guess I dodge a bullet that I didn't even see coming.
Thanks again.

Yes, you certainly dodged a bullet. What I recommend is buying a 110vac version, and also to make sure that there is a cyclone moisture separator between the first and second stages of the compressor. I can tell by viewing a photo, so if you find one you like send me a photo and I'll let you know if it has what is necessary. If it doesn't have this, what happens is that entrained water in the air discharge from the first (low pressure) stage gets into the second (high pressure) stage, which can cause numerous problems with the piston, rings, check valves, etc. What I've seen is that some of the Yong Heng compressors have it, some don't. Their "simple" version doesn't have one...

Just an update. I received a refund from PayPal two days ago. PCP Mart sent me a PM denying having an eBay account or any connection with heaphub or tatcummin0 although they are all registered at the same bogus address. Both these accounts have been deregistered by eBay. According to my transaction record with PayPal, heaphub is directly connected to an AliExpress account of a Chinese company by the name of Chong Electronic Technology Company. LTD. heaphubhttps://www.aliexpress.com/store/707521
I suggest, giving any of these names or similar enterprises, a wide berth until it becomes clear who's up who and who isn't paying.

There's already another thread on PCPMart, all bad. http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/pcpmart-com-scam-alert-feeback-opinions/

However, the thread on the compressor itself, from other vendors has decent to good reviews. http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/did-i-make-a-big-mistake-i-bought-a-yong-heng-compressor-from-china/

If I read the pictures correctly, it's the cyclone version purchased, but the price was near $400, not the $200.

It appears that if you can get the compressor, it does work. Just have to be incredibly careful with the vendor.

Don't take this the wrong way, these compressors are wired differently than US 220 volt circuits. I bought one as well and they are Chinese junk, but it has been doing ok for a few months. If you look at the wires in the power cord if it is like mine you will only have three. You need only the black and the red and the bare copper ground wire in the receptacle you are plugging into. I bought a receptacle with two flat blades and the ground hole so I would not plug anything into it that is not wired the same. the plug on the pump you only need the black and red wires. If you have the instructions I would like to get them from you if it is not to much trouble. If you have any questions fell free too drop me a line. TIA Chuck.
