I just went to look at my profile, and I noticed that I have two negative accuracy remarks/points. One says “troll”, and the other one says “I strongly disagree”. WTF?

    1. It says under source, Profile. What exactly does that mean? That someone looked at my profile and did not like what they saw?

    2. Why is this anonymous? People should be able to see who “likes” them, and who doesn’t?

    Thanks,

    Kmd

Nothing? Not even a mod will reply to me? Maybe he was the one that said I was a Troll, ha ha.

We try to reply to important topics in a timely manner.

A quick search inside the Forum Information section using the keyword “accuracy” brought me to a topic that will likely be of interest to you http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/accuracy-points/?view=all

    Brief explanation:
    1. Someone gave a (-) score directly your profile.
    2. The Accuracy system keeps the users anonymous so that there isn’t retaliation.

It is unfortunate that it was not linked to a post so it would be easier for you to see why someone did  not like what you said. Good advised is to post on the positive side and understand if someone does not like your opinion you can get dinged.

I appreciate the link, but even more so the brief explanation! : )

    1. I did not realize that was something people could do. Now I know.
    2. So there isn’t retaliation? Interesting?! Other places [forums, eCommerce and so on] handle it differently, and do not fear retaliation, so you can publicly leave feedback. Anyhow, everyone does it a little bit different.

That said. I would prefer if people would only be able to leave feedback publicly. I am sure many others feel the same way. Again though. It is what it is.

    Thanks,

    Kmd

p.s. I was joking about someone not getting back to me. : )

EDIT: I have had “issues” in other forums before. However, whenever I felt it was uncalled for or unjustified, I talked to the mods and they took care of it. Does something like that exist here as well? I mean, you mods seem overly happy to “fix” and “correct” any issues on here, so what about me complaining about my negative points???

I wouldn’t call it unfortunate. I was just a little bit surprised to:

    A. See someone giving me negative feedback for “arguing”?! I mean, this is the internet. We are in a forum. If you cannot argue here without “retaliation”, where else would you be able to?

B.On the other hand, I can care less. It just gives me something to “bitch” about, ha ha. Like I said, this is the internet. I do not take it to heart what people say about me. (Not that I really do in the “real world”. : )

    C. I do not like the way AGN does it though. Giving people feedback “just like that” kinda defeats the purpose of feedback. It should be only used for transactions when selling/buying something, because that is where it matters the most. It is not going to do anything for me, if I have a guy that has a lot of “good” points for saying cool stuff, but then rips people off when doing business with them.

    Thanks for the input though.

    Kmd
