A.O.A. Now y'all are just Screwing with me

Joe,

Get the 30S, with the Rekord trigger.

Try the rifle with the open sights first - plinking with the opens is really good fun, and keeps the trim lines of the 30S.

For a change, stick an aperture sight on the back - a Williams or a classic target model (You must have some FWB rear sights :) )

I have an aperture sight on my HW99S (HW50S in the USA), and a 3.0 mm post at the front, and it is a blast to shoot like that :)

Have fun & a good weekend :)

Best regards

Russ

Good advice! I have the Airforce Universal rear aperture sight on my HW30s with the original sight on the front. It's much fun and one of my one of my favorite.

Best,

Matt

Did you get your HW30s yet, or did you have another change of heart, Joe?

Will you shoot it offhand, I hope, or strictly benchrest, like the FWB300?

I shot my Summit offhand for and hour or so last night, and my unused back muscles were screaming. Reminds me how out of shape I've let myself become.

I too wonder what scope you're going to put on it. The trick is getting good optical quality without making the rig too heavy. Maybe a Williams peep?
