After reviewing all their products...am happy to name other brands that have been ripped...won't be contentious and will mention nothing...everyone can see where the product lines are coming from; so the issue of ethics and business practice ...would you call some person or company out for doing a "rip off" ? Just asking a question:

"BIG FANS of stealing design ideas ? sure...but originality is key...how do you address this issue about your products ?"

@Gwelo - that's not right...I suggest you visit the guy's Facebook and Instagram pages..my unbiased observation from initial excitement faded, when the penny dropped and I realized he simply copies everyone's products ; that was a big disappointment ...

ie: http://www.losandes.com.ar/article/de-mendoza-al-mundo-fabrican-rifles-de-aire-comprimido-profesionales?pic=5 (Read this with Google translate - he happily concedes he started off by copying; no where does he talk about licensing other designs/products which are protected by international copyrights)

Ok, so the rabbit is out of the bag so to speak...anyone recognize:
* DG Scope rubber enhancer rip ?
* RAW block action rip ?
* Rowan hamster mech and scope rail rip ?
* BKL scope mounts rip ?
* Spa 12 Snowpeak bullpup stock rip ?
* Kalibr bullpup stock rip ?

Last I heard, Argentina has signed and belongs to an international agreement - World Intellectual Property Organizationhttp://www.wipo.int/wipolex/en/profile.jsp?code=AR so am staggered the guy - Fabricio Lavilla - has not explained the origin of his products; does he have a commercial licensing agreement ? unlikely IMHO

Darned shame...his success is predicated on what appears to be blatant rip offs...

@Scrane - agreed - doesnt resemble or look anything like the ThomasAir; if anything , the similarity is with the Steyr LG110 with rear butt area & curved part...but perhaps he can get away with that design rip as it is sufficiently different in some regards...

So I go back to my findings, or conclusions anyone of you are free to make - does it make you feel uncomfortable what he's done, and is it OK to buy an LT Airguns product ? (assuming he has NO License to use, or paid a $dollar amount for rights , to the original designer / company); at very least - the guy needs to say on his website - he has been licenced by XYZ company or something along those lines - we the consumer expect companies to be forthright & ethical...no excuses to be honest..

"scrane"To me, an airgun is the action/trigger. This gun looks more to me like the EdGun/Kalibre/Taiwan/Vulcan/P12 etc composite of clones. But without looking inside its hard to tell.
there is a difference when a hobbyist does make or copy , and blend many elements into their home made project...for whatever parts or parts covering everything for their air rifle mod or pimp...

It becomes something else when someone starts manufacturing specific parts that are blatant rips ; take the BKL mounts as an example, or any product that is viewable on those social media accounts...therein lies a mine field and problem...for Legal Counsel of X company to take to court Y company ...

As a consumer we know about China clones- some are licensed and getting around to doing it correct nowadays (under License Fees $ Agreement) .... in the past they would show you middle finger...until US Govt. applied pressure on China Gov. to force local manufacturers to respect intellectual property.

It is apparent - this guy couldnt give a rat's ass who & what he copies for whatever as he mass produces it; people who lose out ? the original company or person who designed/made the product and subsequent loss of $ revenue = loss of jobs because of a Banana Republic entrepreneur.

I seriously have no intention of personally ever touching LT Airguns products...I rather buy from Rowan or BKL or a full rifle from RAW and mod with other genuine company products.

Jack Harris is a Brit- Welsh guy (wearing red shirt)...who won last year's WFTF Champs ; decent chap...and talented; I have no personal idea (or hidden agenda) and don't know of his business or simply "friendly" relation with LT Airguns - and if he is a consultant for them, but he has been to Argentina and done some comps in FT there...having said that- It's a clear known fact there is no love lost between the UK & Argentina over the Falkland Islands ; war fought in the 1980s - Reagan / Maggie Thatcher period ; the Brits kicked the invading Argies out of the Falklands and the Brits also took casualties.. On that basis the Middle Finger could be alluding to Nbr 1 - for Jack Harris - but yet, the Middle finger to Argentina from Jack Harris, and the middle finger from Argentina to the UK could be interpreted as friendly mucking about..and of course..the middle finger from LT Airguns is equally what the guy has done ripping off other UK / USA products...
