....4500psi Carbon Fiber tank question.....

That sucks. All the Scuba and Paintball shops around Michigan fill to 4500 PSI. Some of the Scuba shops do require an over night stay so they can fill slowly to reduce heat, They also can fill the SCBA tanks if you buy or build a foster nipple fill for it. Just a hand tight connection, coupler to nipple and thats it. Glad I'm not in the same boat or I would be buying a compressor for sure You might split one with a friend.. another thought

I have seen some comments saying PB tanks are no good. I am looking to get my first PCP, a Benjamin Marauder pistol, and was hoping to use a 68ci 4500psi tank, shown above, to start. I know I would need a fill adapter and probably a regulator also but am I to understand that this tank will not fill a PCP properly at all? If it will work I would love any recommendations you have for a fill adapter/regulator. 

Also, I am aware that the tank is out of date. I will get it rehydro'd once I know I can use it. 

For what it’s worth, I purchased this Carbon Fiber Tank, 4500 psi, 88 cu ft from pyramid air do quite a bit of squirrel hunting and have enjoyed every minute of it. Have had no trouble getting the tank topped off for free at my local fire department. There is a significant cost difference between a large tank and a compressor.

Admittedly, I haven't read this whole thread. However...

I have a small tank which gives me about 7 or 8 refill depending on which gun I'm refilling. I did buy a large 88 cf tank from Airhog, and it can give me some 45 refills. The only issue is its physical size. The only time I use it, is when I'm a long way from home. My plans are to buy another small tank just for the convenience in size, a fact others should consider too. 

I have to add that I do a lot of shooting, and run through a 350 count tin at least each week. While there is a place I can get the tanks filled, it isn't open except by appointment. So, I did buy a Shoebox8. I'm not sorry I did, except who I bought it from. While it filled the bill (no pun intended), an all in one compressor made sense, so I bought an Omega Air Charger from Airhog. I made my own input dryer for the Omega, which wasn't difficult. This set up, for me at least, is ideal.

I bought a 90 cu in tank and now wish I got a 74 cu ft tank. The smaller one is handy, but I'm always going back to the shop to refill.
