I was on a prairie dog hunt this week. Whenever possible, I like to start with the silent guns first. After time they get wise and the shots gradually get further out. In the past when the shots stretch beyond 100 yards I switch to the center fire. I have used the 22 Daystate and FX. This was the first time I have tried my new 30 cal boss on them. I was able to reach on out to 150 plus with it. That was an added advantage. The coolest thing however was It was good for 2 pass thru shots (which I haven’t been able to do with the air guns before). If you haven’t hunted prairie dog’s, It is fun to try and get multiples in one shot by the bullet passing thru one to another (my record is 6 in one with a 223.) I was pleased I had 41 before the switching to the big guns and 2 pass thru’s with the boss and ended up with 268 for the day. What is your best pass thru?
