Decided to go on a afternoon hunt yesterday here in Michigan for late doe firearm. I'd planned to be in my blind by 3:30pm as deer activity had picked up in the evening. Things did not go as planned and I arrived almost an hour late. I decided to approach a different way in to the blind and the closer I got I'd realized it wasn't as cold as I thought. So I stopped about 35 yrds back and stood by some trees to try a ambush. To my surprise not even 20 minutes in here comes a doe strolling. As she passed by a larger tree I raised my rifle to track her to reach a opening. When she paused I sent the Mr Hollowpoint 530gr away. On impact she stood up on her hind legs and attempted to run but snow plowed and quickly expired. My shot was about 50 yrds and again I'm totally impressed and love the power of this compact powerhouse. 2nd harvest this year with the 16inch Zeus.
