Here is a lot of 5 of them for $20 + free s/h - maybe you can get 4 other people to split it with you. Or try contacting the seller and seeing if they will sell you a single one for $4.14. They might very well do that.

This gives you the whole hose with female QC on both ends - you won't need the dowty washers since the hose will be what you're looking to build. then if the hose fails, you can just rebuild with your spare hose. If they'll sell you one for $4, not sure how you could go wrong. Frankly, for $20, you'd have 5 of them - just post 4 of them on the classifieds here at $5 apiece and they'll disappear quick bc people won't have to wait for the hose to come from China. You'll end up with yours for free.
