Wildcat Scope Rail Mod

Still working out a good optics combination with this rifle and I'm finally getting close. I got an Aeon scope with the trajectory reticle which I'm really pleased with so far.

I started with 30mm Hawke rings, but the scope was way too low to comfortably get my eye in line with it.

The fitment was great, it was just too low.

So then I got some Warne High mount rings that are made for the Weaver rail.

Next problem I ran into is the 11mm rail was slightly too high to work with the new rings, so I had to do some trimmin.

They physically tightened down and would have worked, but I wanted it to fit better, so I took the project to the "machine shop" (kitchen table)

Now I think I'm ready to rock.

I like the looks of the whole package as it sits, but I'm going to need a sun shade for the scope and I don't really want the scope to be the first point of contact if I have the good fortune of fumbling the rifle onto the ground or otherwise bang the front end into a tree.
