What was your first PCP?

 I got a new FX Cyclone in about 2002. It was a huge improvement over the heavy springers of the day. Never should have gotten rid of cyclone, but am replacing it with a Dreamline,currently on back order.

I still have an HW50S with factory sites and an Izzy but the long heavy springers are gone.

My first was a Shinsung Career 111 300 in 22 cal. I bought about 15 years or so ago.I still have it. It is a beast of a gun. It slings 28 gr Eujins at over 1000 fps. Something like 70 + ft lbs. It sounds like a cannon going off. Holy cow its loud. Where was DonnyfL when I needed him? lol

.22 Synrod was my first. Awesome rifle. Glad I bought it as my gateway into PCP.

I even made a built-in mag holder for it under the cheek piece.

These days it's been mostly sitting due to my being bitten by the bullpup bug.

Wow, that was also my first, and I also still have mine. I would usually start with power wheel turned down a few dots, shoot 6 or 8 shots and turn it up one. Shoot 6 or 8 more, turn it up. I could get nearly 40 shots around 920 with Kodiak heavy pellets. Accurately too. It is still the loudest airgun I have heard.

Hatsan Gladius .22, - Pros: Quiet, accurate, adjustable

Flaws: Heavy, unregulated, only moderately accurate, broke a few times- But I still loved it!

Disco .22. Spent many hours in the back yard. Took it prairie dog hunting one time and sold it a few weeks later. I'll never take a single shot gun hunting out on a bumpy moving vehicle again.

Synrod - mostly because I didn't know anything about PCP's and wanted an entry point. Plus, I had a vague understanding that the Marauder could be tuned, though I didn't really know what that meant. Plus, it was the least expensive magazine fed gun. Made sure it was a Gen2 for a better barrel. Extremely happy with it except for two things. Bolt pull isn't the easiest in the world and it's a relatively heavy gun. Sure shoots nice from a bench though.

From the factory it shot at about 28 foot pounds. Really accurate to about 75 yards, but never could get much accuracy past that. So, I decided to make it my 50 yard gun and am tuning it down to about 20 fpe, So far, very promising.

Just put a regulator in it and am tuning it this week. It sat a lot for a while as I also upgraded to an Impact. Looking for a Dreamline Tactical next or maybe a classic. Should have the cash together in a few months.

It can be an expensive addiction . . . . . . . . . .

I looked at the price of these things and said, there is no way I'm going to spend $1500 on a pellet gun! So I bought a Hammerli 850 and did an HPA conversion on it. Of corse, after doing that, I have bought 4, $1500 pellet guns.

Daystate LR90.... circa 1992. Very nice little rifle. Wouldn't mind still having it. Traded it toward a Huntsman, which was/is a great rifle.

.25 Marauder gen2 synthetic.

Currently tuned for 16-18 shots at 50 ft lbs. Fantastic hunting rifle with an Excellent trigger!! I can't forsee ever parting with it.

Bsa hornet carbine .177 singke shot. One of the best bsa bbls i have seen.. 16 fpe will shoot a very small cloverleaf @ 45 yds with jsb/aa 8.4.
