Well I finally bought the Daystate Super Leggero compressor

After doing my research on this forum I finally made the purchase last night. Can’t wait to get it. I still have my Air Venturi 4500psi compressor and it still works good but it is getting older and I don’t ever want to be without air. So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted videos and comments on the Daystate. Hopefully it works and lasts.

Sorry I can’t hear you over the awesomeness of this compressor!

I bought one in February and it works outstanding! I bought a secondary filter setup with a molecular sieve. Air is bone dry. The kit was kinda pricy, but I wanted to make it look factory installed. It’s only got about 1.5 hrs on it, but boy I love it. It fills my 60 min tanks from 3500 to 4500 psi in 9 min or so. Congratulations on your purchase!👍🏽😁

What secondary filter setup did you go with?

I just order mine on Saturday, I’ve been trying to get a COLTRI for the last couple years, but now that Daystate and Coltri are working together, they make them more affordable and maintenance and services can be done here in the states, I think Phoenix, we’ll see what happens. Be safe

I hope that it lasts. So far I love it!

How are you guys liking them?? Been looking for a buy once cry once compressor myself..
I really like it. The AOA promo says they run them in for about 5 hrs so there is no need to change it at 5 hrs run time. But my oil is pretty dirty after 4. So I’ll be changing the oil. The oil is pricy but worth it. Mine runs like an oversized sewing machine. But it has charged my 45 min bottle from 0 to 4500psi in 1hr 15min. After the tank cools down it’s about 4000. I run it for about 5 min more to get to 4500. Great machine so far…Grass😁 Oh btw I run it in my kitchen (bachelor) and it’s on a 20 amp circuit with no issues..👍🏽

What did you pay and how long did AOA indicate you were going to have to wait on it?
It was about 2600.00 dollars after shipping. I only waited about a week and a half. I gave them 500.00 to secure a purchase. They called me and said after testing and prep they would ship it. As I mentioned in another post, I added a MCH-6 second filter at 200.00. Wanted to make sure the air was dry., Grass

It’s the filter kit for the MCH-6. It consists of a double filter bracket, metal tubes and filter assy. I also got two molecular sieve filter elements. Easy to install and works great.
I assume you used the filter tower kit from Nuvair. I have one on order now for my new Leggero. Would you be able to share some pictures or description showing how you installed it? The Leggero seems to be a little different than the MCH-6 regarding possible attachment points for the bracket.

Sure, let me take some. It’s really easy. The hardest Part was tightening up the second filters connection. But it’s a snap. Took about 20 min. I had to swap some fitting around. But all tubes fit perfectly, everything mated up great.
Ok thanks! I got the filter tower kit today, and it's not looking straightforward to me at all to get everything to fit in and mate right. I'm looking forward to seeing how you did it.

I dont feel my Tuxing copy are loud, no problem having a conversation right beside it.
Well i can hear my M8, and he in turn often complain that i am very loud compressor or other noisy things about or not.

I have to admit after a stint in the 980ties with LOUD car audio, i am surprised it is my eyes that are lagging and not my hearing, my little not that hot German hatchback had 3 12 inch subwoofers each with its own 500 Watt amplifier.

I did some more research, and it looks like you need the air filter tower from the Icon, not the MCH6. Here is a photo of the MCH6 filter tower sitting unattached in the Leggero. As you can see, it has as flange on the bracket that does not fit with the black belt cage on the Leggero.

Also, on the MCH6, the valve exiting from the water separator is at around the 10:30 position (when looking top-down on the pressure gauge). On the Icon, it is at the 9:00 position and an inch or so higher up as in the Leggero. As you can see here, the MCH6 connection tube won't match up with the 9:00 Leggero design:

Then I discovered Grass's earlier post on a different thread with some pictures of how he set his up, and it looks like an Icon, not an MCH6 filter tower.

Here is a diagram from the Ikon manual showing a flat bracket that allows room for the Leggero cage and a tube set up to connect to the filter tower at the 9:00 position.

I bought the MCH6 filter tower from Nuvair, but unfortunately it is non-returnable. I am calling Nuvair today to see it they will make an exchange or sell me the bracket and tube necessary to make the MCH6 filter tower work with the Leggero.
