I have a FX 400 regulated 22 caliber. I checked my velocity today and it is down 20fps from last April. Other than temp what can change the velocity? I really don't want to mess with the regulator unless I have to.

I'm definitely not a expert but maybe hammer spring weakened or binding. Maybe hammer itself is dragging

Also, a regulator's setpoint will climb over time as the seat wears and/or takes a compression set. Might need to add a little HST to bring the velocity back up to where it was. To be clear, I'm not talking about creep. I do mean the setpoint.

Scott, I agree with the above. When Centercut helped me with my Boss (same platform) a couple months ago we DID have to readjust HST to get it shooting in its sweet spot again. ANY moving parts are going to wear over time. Just be careful of just HOW loctited in the HST adjusting screw is. Use lots of heat before loosening or tightening! There IS a brass screw being made by SOMEONE that will lock the HST screw in place without Loctite. PM me or call if you want to discuss it.
