Hmmm.... I wonder if this will help groups a little. I seem to be hovering around dime sized 30 yard groups on an Uragan compact 22.

Cranky1 have you checked your mag to make sure it isn't clipping the Pellet?

No I have not, I’ve only had time to do some chrony test and shoot 4 groups.

my compact will print dime size 10 shot groups at 50 yards with the magazine. will have to try it with the SST.

Do you know what speeds your shooting at? I’m shooting 18grn jsb at 775ish and 15.89s at 814. I’m shooting off a bipod without a rear rest, I probably just need more practice.

seems little slow for a 18 gr but short barrel gun may need that speed I guess

I’m seeing the best accuracy out of the hades and the 18s too. I wonder if the longer pellets just stabilize better. I’ll play with the speed some when I get time.

Crank, pull the regulator and adjust it for higher FPS. My Vulcan .22 shoots at 895-900 FPS.

The original Vulcan pup has a 450mm barrel. The Vulcan 2 has a 500mm barrel. The Uragan Compact has only a 370mm barrel with the Uragan standard version having a 570mm barrel. 

It may not be feasible for the Uragan Compact to achieve 895-900 fps with the 18.13gr JSB with such a short barrel. I'd personally tune for the 15.9gr JSB domed and Hades at 880 fps which would put the 18gr in the 840 fps neighborhood.

Yeah the short barrel kills velocity. I haven’t tuned a gun yet, mainly just messed with hammer spring on my others. I’ve never messed with the reg on any of my guns.

Today I have the time to put a new Riton 6-24x50 FFP scope on my new Uragan.25. Testing with JSB MK II 33.95 gr. Here are the results at 25 yards with 5 shots. I’m happy with it. Will try for 100 yards next time.
