Uragan baby plenum

Kinda cool. I wanted to add a reg gauge. And playin with things this worked out good. I’ll finish the stock soon, everything will be nice and flush. It added about 10-12cc and the same tune went from 970 fps average to 1000fps. The huma tape says 160 bar, but trying 3 reg gauges says about 152 bar. Close enough. They have plenty of wall thickness and full radius at the bottom. Should hold fine.

they look bigger in the pic for some reason. I only have to extend the acual oal of the gun .500” to sit flush in the butt pad. Free mod!

And FWIW, this is with 50gr nsa slugs. Stock was 160 bar 915fps with jsb 45gr pellets. My target tune, is 900fps and only 115 bar now. So a little bit of work on this gun went a long way.

Nice I was hoping someone would make a bigger plenum for the Uragan. I was wondering if a reg could be installed right after the bottle and the old reg housing would be plenum. The king with dual bottle and a reg in the dual bottle adapter would be fun.

Its def possible, just would have to plug the bleed hole off in the body of the gun but easy enough. I just made a little extra volume not much. 30-40cc more and this gun would be a beast. IF i was agt, The KING would be double bottle, ext adj reg and hammer, 30” barrel and much larger plenum in 35 cal! It could be tuned to 150fpe and nearly 100 shots.

Very nice work Sir! I wonder what it would do for mine. I am already able to kick the fpe up to well over 100 over with my .251 sized 47.2 gr slugs. 

What I did was simply adding one 22 thou shim to the beville stack in the Huma reg. Don't have a reg tester so no idea what it is. I had to bring the Huma down to a marked 130 bar on the tape to conserve air, and is now set at 1026 pfps s with the 47.2 slug for 110 fpe. this is down from 1048 for 115 fpe. with the same slug. 

An added plenum would help just that much moe and allow me to use less hammer spring. Since I shoot onlly slugs, I did open the port in the bbl to .251 to match bore dia. 



Tonight I am going to bring it down to 960's with the hammer spring to put it on the knee of the curve. This should increase shot count well. I am trying to find the correct combo to really beat this Texas Wind.LOL

Hey Knife! Ive made some different ones since this post. A little longer and 347ss. With a 35” barrel and 160 bar Its made 155fpe. However, the real sweet spot came in at 105 bar for 115fpe with 65.5 nsa slugs. The hammer strike is light, plenty of shots, and DEADLY accurate out to 200 yards. I also added a power adjuster for pellets, and a removable valve for tuning. The barrel is also threaded in now, and solid carbon fiber. Anyhow, in basically stock form with the small plenum and huma reg If I remember I was able to drop about 20-25 bar and maintain same power level.

Could you add plenum inside the stock before the regulator.

Man, I wish I had the room in my shop for a lathe. I is stuffed to the gills as it is. Grrrrr! 

Now about the hammer adjustment. Woah! Lov'n it. On the other hand, what are you seeing in an advantage with the adjustable valve?

External hammer adjuster? That I need!!! I made things adjustable playing with different pellets/slugs/calibers. I got bored and wanted to play with it. The gun is phenominal out of the box and really doesnt need a thing.
