Word to the wise: Do not trust UPS to deliver your high-end air rifle that requires signature to an alternative drop-off location. The scheduled delivery date of my new RAW HM 1000x .357 (130 ft-lbf regulated), $2,370 on the hoof, happened to fall on the last day of the California Bar Exam for which I was sitting. I logged-on to my UPS My Choice account and specified that the rifle be delivered to a local USP Store for pick-up. Not only did UPS completely ignore this so-called choice, it delivered the rifle to my home address when I was not home. It propped the long box against the wall outside my door vertically whereby it could have easily been knocked over. Further, no signature was obtained. I came home this, discovering that the rifle had been sitting there for over four hours during which it could have easily been stolen.
