Understanding the x twist system

Watched Utah ag video . I'm calling tomorrow. What I don' understand is: if I buy a barrel assy. I know I can change liners for twist rate but can I use a different cal. Liner in the assy?
ie: can I swap from 25 to 22 to 30 liners in the same assy?

from what I understand NO ! same cal must be used in that assembly. The barrel sleeve is designed for that calibur of liner .

I have both a 25 Crown and a 30 Impact, can I take the complete barrel assembly from the crown and use it in the Impact? I know I would need a 25 pellet probe for the Impact and a new magazine but not sure if this will work.

The barrel assy can interchange between the two , but not the shrouds . But there is a set screw flat for the thumb screw on the impact version that is not on the crown version .

I fully expect to see these barrels to start showing up on non FX custom builds in the near future . Im thinking of putting one on my carbon diso build instead of a LW since i have to machine a breech from scratch anyway , still need to do a bit more research but shouldn't be too difficult from what Ive seen so far .

Blanks will require machining to fit your particular airgun and preferably a lead cut in the breech end although some manufacturers seem to omit this important step.
