Today just wasn't my day. Almost!

It was an absolutely beautiful morning with no wind to speak of, so I grabbed my stuff and went to my local range which is less than a 3 minute drive from my house. Was going to put my .22 Maximus through its paces at 20, 30, 40, 50, and 58yds, wich is max distance at the plinking range. I get there and the plinking range is packed with dads and their young sons and daughters. Great to see! So I just chocked it up as not my day to shoot the Maximus.
Then my wife calls and said a tree fell across the main road and took the power out. Great. Definitely not my day. But, I always have some powder burners with me, so off I went to the 200 yr range which there was only one other guy. First shot my 223/556 for 9 five rd groups. Didn't do to great. Only 2 sub moa groups out of 9. Best being 1.697".
Yup, just not my day. Got frustrated and put the rifle away. For poops and giggles I had one more target out at 200 yds so I pulled out my trusty CZ .22LR and shot this 7 rd group before the wind picked up. 1.627"
That made my day!
