The Weekly Target Challenge is changing to a Monthly Target Challenge

Aloha folks.. Ok, gonna give this a try.

I'm using an old limited edition HW-45 pistol in .177 caliber.

Shooting standing at 7 yards. I tried 10 yards, but I can't even see the .177 pellet clearly at that distance with open sights, no optics... So 7 yards it is!!

When I was in college I took a speech class. The professor said never start your presentation with a bunch of excuses because if it isn't good your audience will find out soon enough.

That means pretty quickly you will learn that all I know about making and posting videos can be placed in a 22 caliber pellet skirt! So here is my weekly pellet challenge. I am shooting an Impactx MKII 22 cal with the power plenum. My scope is the Athlon ARES ETR 4.5 x 30 x 56. I have the SideShot GoPro system with the Accu-Tac bipod. I am shooting the 18 gr pellet at about 930 fps. I didn't choose a very good day because I got wind, rain & hail. Look at the trees in the background in addition to the wind flags. But other than getting aggravated with trying to edit video and post this thing, I had a great time. Try to enjoy. Chuck

Nicely done LBB. I commend you for hitting so many targets, in fierce wind, & taking a good stab at editing.

I just got off the phone with Justin & he picked the winners!

In the Junior category - Antoni https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/weekly-target-shooting-challenge-with-lead-steel-prizes/page/5/?view=all#post-686964

There was no female submission so UA decided to give 2 of the Glock C02 pistols away to the 1st & 2nd place men.

1st place - PJ Clark with an amazing 100y shot https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/weekly-target-shooting-challenge-with-lead-steel-prizes/page/5/?view=all#post-689928

2nd place - John_in_Ma (again) with 6 impressive hits sitting & standing https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/weekly-target-shooting-challenge-with-lead-steel-prizes/page/5/?view=all#post-689824

Congratulations to all that shared their fine shooting skills!

*I'll edit the original topic to include this weeks new challenge

Wow...I'm humbled to be selected. These are great challenges and I find myself looking forward to the next one and thankful that I have, despite all that's going on, the ability to keep shooting on my home range. Thanks to JSB, Michael and Utah Airguns!

I agree with John that the challenges are fun to set up and not hard to film, even when you are working by yourself. Just don't shoot your phone!

Wow, thank you!!! I love doing this challenge as it brings me joy and I encourage anyone with a camera and some time to try this out. Editing is not that hard and making a YouTube account is very easy.

Here is just some bonus content when I tried to use my brand-new flute to hit a pellet on pellet @70 yards offhand. I surprisingly got pretty close, but I inevitably didn’t do it :)

Thanks again!

I got to do this yesterday but since I had limited time this week I can not edit what I recorded. Maybe I’ll edit it later but for now all I have I photos. Anyway, I took these shots @45 yards offhand.

Pretty bad... but then again it was at 45 yards and falling off the regulator so I don’t know how to judge that 🤷‍♂️

Here’s where I shot from followed by where I shot too (somewhere down there at the point where the grass stops and the dead vegetation begins)

And here’s some shots of my gun (previously when I was shooting for groups) and my new bench setup (thanks Michael!)

Here’s my only hit:

Next time (hopefully) I’ll be able to get back to editing these challenges.

Thanks,

Antoni
