Hey guys! Tony from TALON TUNES sent me a brand new Veteran Long .25 cal TAIPAN. Beautiful rifle, possibly the best trigger in Airgunning, and maybe the most elegant Bullpup you can buy. Check it out in this TAIPAN Veteran Long full review. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Thanks again Nate. Still liking your lighthearted reviews. Let me offer a little critique though; at least adjust the gun’s velocity using the hammer spring tensioner for each pellet.

The .25 Veteran Long can shoot the 33.95s at 915 fps for 63 FPE. Just for a quick and dirty test, you could have easily loosened the HST adjusters set screw, which holds the HST adjuster’s position and then used the provided pins to dial velocity to a good speed for each pellet tested. This would have better showcased the guns versatility and accuracy abilities. Just my .02.

Good job Nate. You’re getting better and better at this game 😁👏🏼

Agreed. If I was looking to by a Veteran your review would make me reconsider. The Veterans are way more accurate when the velocity is tuned to the pellet.

Nice review, I have both longs. 22 and 25..is really hard to justify buying another gun in the same calibers. If you set low power I can plink with gto use 15g..go up could use 18g..jsb and 25g jsb..or slugs...the same with the. 25 ...gto..25g jsb..34gjsb..or 30g..to..34g slugs...with both easy to go long range 100y +..one year now with them not a problem ..every time you pick them up they shoot exactly the same..you only need to clean the barrel and enjoy shooting..

Loving my .22 long. Just an exceptional gun. Now if I only had more time to shoot it. Waiting for the birds to move in at the farms so I can put it to use.

HOLY CRAP! That gun is awesome! Thanks for the pic!!! Love the mag holder and shorty LDC.

....I really wish I would have tuned the gun a bit. I already sent it back : (

If I come across another one I'll definitely do that. If that beautiful gun was also an exceptional long range shooter, that would be the ultimate bullpup.

Thanks for the tips on that guns accuracy! -Nate

It seems everyone really likes their Taipan longs, me included, so maybe the marketing department at the Bullet Project should start making more calibers available. The barrel debate will go on CZ or LW, but I’ve only experienced the CZ and it will stay with me till the end of the road. Looking forward if it’s only LW and they come out in .177 I’ll have one. Thanks for the review.

Hey guys. Tony at Talon Tunes said I could hang onto the rifle for a couple more weeks and tune that dial a bit so we can see what that gun is really capable of.

Apparently, all you do is loosen a screw on the left side of the gun and then you can freely turn the hammer spring adjuster knob located on the back of the rifle.

That gold knob right there adjusts velocity down to 200-300 fps and up to 1150+ fps.

I started a thread to talk about tuning the Veteran Long for accuracy (with JSB pellets).

Thank you for all your input! -Nate

*That tethering feature on that RTI has my full attention too. Just wish they came with a slightly shorter tank, as well as an adapter of sorts to hold rifle when tethered.

The bottle comes off when your running the remote coil. The coil hooks in under the butt stock I think. You can probably put any size bottle you want on there if you wanted to get a shorter carbon fiber one.

AWESOME GUN by the way! That's one of the sickest airguns I have ever seen
