Taipan Veteran Chassis System (Community driven input wanted)

All, 

I am designing a chassis system for Taipan Veteran's. I would like some feedback from the community before finalizing a design.

Please list the features you would like to see in an all aluminum rifle stock.

Be specific, including the amount of refinement you would expect to see on a highly optimized design. 

I will be manufacturing the final design based on the communities input. 



The macro features I will incorporate by default include:

1.) AR-style compatible grip

2.) Front Pic Rail (Removable-Variable length)

3.) Adjustable LOP

although not really my type of shooting , an adjustable monopod / bag rider in back similar to what airmaks did with the katran to make it a bench type gun.

Make one for the cricket to .. I'm soon to receive a very long cricket 30" barrel that could benefit from a custom stock.. .. I don't think the difference between the two will be to much..

You said removable and variable length front pic rail but maybe think about a LONG beefy pic rail as a "backbone" to the entire chassis, giving rigidity, yet also reducing bulk. Not my idea (AAA EVOL and to a lesser extent JSAR Raptor) but if designed and implemented well, a darn good one.

Picatinny rail on bottom, beefy as suggested above, but as lightweight as possible.

No adjustments and gadgetry to end up with a heavier gun.

The cricket II tactical also has a similar approach to onboard storage as the edgun. Keeping the features ambidextrous or at least able to move them to the desired side would be appreciated. I'm a lefty Dad with some righty kids, so I always appreciate truly ambi features. It's nice when anyone can use it.

An AR style butt-stock adapter would be great as well....not sure if that was part of the design to work with an AR grip.

Vertically adjustable cheek piece ????? ..........why in the world would you wanna go any higher then the action, bullpups already suffer from excessvley high scopes.

You really cant due to the design of the receiver and lop. There are hard limits on what can be done when it comes to cheek risers/support.

Tool-less adjustable length of pull and butt stock (up/down). Anything you touch while you shoot should not be made out of metal (it was worth every penny adding Papy_Yosh's biathlon lever and cheek rest to mine as well as the magazine holders). Easy way to add a sling. As light weight as possible. Comfortable to hold (forearm) which also means relatively slim.

Because the chassis will be milled of 6061 or 7075 (The ultra-light version)...Touch surfaces will be laden with neoprene. I plan to include steel QD mounts on the butt and both sides of the foregrip.
