SWFA SS Shootout Video

Very informative, Joe.

What I paid attention to was how wide, or narrow, the FOV looked like, and that's basically the reason why I don't have any fixed power scopes anymore and went to variable power. I had an old moa/mil fixed 10x SWFA and their 20x.

I have one SWFA 3 -15 left, I like the 6M close focus for shooting in the shop in the winter. Good hunting reticle being it is a tad thicker than most FFP scopes. These SWFA's do track well.

What I like about fixed power, besides less parts, complexity, brightness, is that their F.O.V. is usually better too, if you know you are going to leave your scope at one setting 99% of the time anyway. The SWFA 3-15 at 15x has a 7.21 foot F.O.V.; the SS 16x has the same 7.21' F.O.V., slightly more magnification and costs a whole lot less. If they fit your style of shooting they are a no-brainer pick.
