Strelok distance and angle

is the distance entered in strelok the horizontal distance to a target or the actual distance?

for example, if I am shooting upward at a 75 degree angle at a target that is high up in a tree say 40 yards from the muzzle but only maybe 15 yards horizontally should I enter 15 yards and then the 75 degrees? Or 40 yards and 75 degrees.

Enter the ranged distance and the measured angle, not the actual horizontal distance.

You could also enter the horizontal distance to the base of the tree and use zero degrees for the angle

MikeF, that was interesting! Never thought of it that way, but it seems reasonable. 
Of course shooting right up means zero distance in Strelok, just holdover for the distance between the center barrel and center scope, but measuring the horizontal distance to a building or a tree, instead of the distance to the bird on top of it, and then have to make corrections for the angel seems much smarter.

If you dont have a rangefinder that calculates angle automatically you would enter in the range it gives then add the angle it was at in strelok so strelok will make the compensation. If you have a rangefinder that auto corrects for angle just enter what the rangefinder says the distance is since its already compensated for the angle.

Hi guys
My scope is a hawke sidewinder 6,5*20 42 half mil dot
I try to find the reticle in that program but still looking.....
Try the mil dot bar 0,5 mil,millet from the program witch is same with my reticle give the parameters of my scope and airgun but nothing.
Any advise?

I just checked my strelok pro app and the hawke 1/2 mil dot 20x is in there. If you dont have strelok pro then you dont get all the available scopes.
