Storage of PCP

Is it improper to store a charged pcp gun for extended periods of time, i.e. 3 months or longer? I have not done so, but am curious to know if it varies by gun or if it is a good/bad idea as a general rule. I wouldn't think It's an issue, especially if air was treated properly before pressurizing the tank.

"Tweeter"
"John_in_Ma"Crusher is right. Stored at the lower end of recomended pressure will keep the seals and valve in good shape. I would not store it at full pressure as you valve and seat may deform from the high pressure over an extended period.
+1 this is what I do as well. Shoot the gun down to where I normally need a refill and then put it away.
