Squirrel vs .30 pellet

Ducked out of work a bit early and headed to my feeder in the woods. Filled it 3 or 4 weeks ago so there should be some action today.

This guy sauntered up there and sat down to feed. Aimed for its nose as it was in a little ball feeding. 

Hit right where I aimed! These are the 47gr NOE cast pellets.

No it just flopped forward and didn't move, had to use a stick to bump him off the feeder. Back legs were still in the feed pit.

Nice shot Nate. We've been shooting the same NOE pellet (cast) for a while. They are really effective on pigeons as well. Maybe it's the flat head adding a little more energy from the get go.
